RICHLAND, MI – More than two months ago, Grand Rapids Christian’s girls volleyball team lost a five-set thriller to perennial Division 1 power Hudsonville, and while it didn’t feel good back on Sept. 9, that match proved pivotal at the most important part of the season.
The third-ranked Eagles defeated No. 6 Tecumseh, 3-2, in Tuesday’s Division 2 state quarterfinal at Gull Lake High School, pulling out a 15-9 victory in the deciding fifth set.
