The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the premature redemption price for Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGB 2020-21 Series-II-Issue date May 19, 2020), the RBI has said in a statement. The maturity period of sovereign gold bonds (SGBs) is eight years. However, the premature redemption of SGBs is permitted after the fifth year from the date of their issue.
