One of the hardest things to do for a journalist is to establish a routine. Sometimes there’s things to do and places to be throughout the days, nights, weekends and holidays. Other times, there’s a lot less going on.

Some weeks I’m at my computer for hours on end. Other weeks I spend most of my time interacting with the community.

Every now and then, the perks of the job take me on an adventure I might never have had the opportunity to enjoy otherwise.

In my short time with the Yuma Sun, I’ve taken ride-alongs with the U.S. Border Patrol through the Imperial Sand Dunes and up the Colorado River.
