Officials ask for bribe for construction work nod, man outs them before Mayor

A man in Morena created a stir inside the Municipal Corporation office after he directly exposed a bribe demand by civic officials during a meeting with the Mayor. The incident is linked to Pankaj Rathore, who had approached the Morena Municipal Corporation to get his plot transferred and to obtain building construction approval.

According to the details, Rathore contacted a municipal clerk regarding the transfer and construction permission. Instead of guiding him through the official fee process, the clerk allegedly disclosed the “rates” of bribes expected by different officials in addition to the legal charges.

Despite the money being discussed, Rathore’s work did not move forward, prompting him to take the matter directly to Morena Mayor Sharda Solanki.
