Basalt seeks input on Midland design plan
The town of Basalt will host an open house today to give residents a first look at the draft Midland Avenue design guidelines.
The meeting is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. at Basalt Town Hall, 101 Midland Ave. Community members can review the draft, meet the project team, ask questions and offer feedback.
Design guidelines outline criteria to help maintain a town’s character. In Basalt, the guidelines aim to ensure new construction and property changes are consistent with the historic look and feel of Midland Avenue. Adoption of the guidelines will eventually require updates to the town’s municipal code.
