Haunting photographs have revealed the interior of a deserted airport that has remained untouched for almost half a century – with terminals and aircraft left to decay.
Nicosia International Airport, formerly Cyprus's gleaming entry point, now stands silent and forsaken, a spectral reminder of a catastrophic conflict that tore the island apart. Originally constructed in the 1930s, the location started as an RAF base before developing into the island's primary civilian aerodrome.
