A proposed new bungalow on land in the heart of Knowle has been given the green light by planners despite villagers concerns it is being crammed onto land.
In March this year applicant Philip Pearce put forward a plan to demolish garages on land at Lodge Croft in the middle of the village to make way for a three bedroom bungalow.
The land had previously been earmarked to be a Waitrose car park. When that scheme fell through a two storey office block was proposed in 2021, before that was turned down by planners and the government’s planning inspector.
