The 2026 World Cup qualification process is nearing its conclusion, but some places are yet to be decided.
As things currently stand, 39 nations have punched their ticket for next summer’s tournament which is being held across three different countries - United States, Canada and Mexico.
In recent years, the World Cup line-up would have already been complete. However, as this tournament will be the first to include 48 teams, it means nine more teams can qualify.
Along with the three host nations and defending champions Argentina, the likes of England, Brazil, Portugal, Norway, France and Senegal have all qualified automatically . Scotland clinched qualification for the first time since 1998 with a dramatic 4-2 win over Denmark.
