Dwight Yorke has backed Chido Obi to replace Benjamin Sesko as Manchester United ’s centre-forward.
Sesko, the summer signing from RB Leipzig , has been ruled out for a number of weeks after suffering a knee injury against Tottenham in the 2-2 draw in north London.
The Slovenian appeared as a second-half substitute, but hobbled off before the final whistle after receiving treatment.
Ruben Amorim’s side were reduced to ten men at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having used all five substitutes, but Matthijs de Ligt was on-hand to net a stoppage-time equaliser.
Sesko’s injury leaves Joshua Zirkzee as the only recognied centre-forward available to the United head coach.
