But just as hope dipped for the Chiefs, a fan shared a message of belief, and Mahomes’ mom, Randi, backed it.

Something unexpected happened this week when Randi replied to a Kansas City fan’s post with a simple two-word message: “Me too.”

The Chiefs fan had also attached to the post a picture of Patrick Mahomes looking downcast in his Chiefs uniform. The image also carried a bold message: “DON’T GIVE UP ON THE CHIEFS YET.”

“I still believe in our Chiefs 🙏🏽 @Chiefs,” the fan captioned the post.
