Sundargarh: The district manager of Odisha State Road Transport Corporation’s (OSRTC) in Sundargarh died after being hit by a truck near Phaguapada under Sadar police limits on Wednesday.

The manager, identified as Amresh Mohanty, was reportedly crossing the road when a speeding truck coming from Rourkela side hit him. He died on the spot. ADVERTISEMENT

Sources said Mohanty had gone to inspect a vehicle and was attempting to proceed to the other side of the road when the fatal accident occurred on State Highway 10.

On being informed, a police team visited the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
