Monroe County residents have several chances to roll up their sleeves and help save lives in the coming weeks, according to a community announcement.

The American Red Cross is planning blood drives throughout the county from Nov. 17 through Nov. 28. Organizers say donations are essential to keep hospitals stocked for emergencies and patient care.
