Pushpalatha, mother of Kannada actor Yash, has filed a police complaint against film promoter Harish Arasu, alleging that she was duped of nearly Rs 65 lakh in connection with the promotion of her debut production, 'Kothalavadi'. She claimed the funds were misused and that she faced threats and intimidation when she raised concerns about the financial transactions. The complaint, filed at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru, seeks legal action against Harish Arasu and several others for alleged cheating and criminal conspiracy.

Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered. In the complaint, Pushpa stated that she had entrusted Harish with the responsibility of promoting her film, which was shot between May 24 and mid-July across locations including Talakadu, Gundlupet, Mysu
