The bridge that carries Meadow Hill Road over the Thruway in the Town of Newburgh closed for replacement in June.
It was demolished over several days in July. In the months since then, drivers have been rerouted to state Route 17K to the south and state Route 52 to the north as detours to and from the Meadow Hill neighborhood.
A temporary traffic signal was installed on 17K at the intersection of Fletcher Drive, which leads into Meadow Hill.
