The Princess of Wales, Kate, was noticeably absent from a significant event with King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William on Tuesday evening, but there could be a perfectly valid explanation for her non-attendance. The Royal family hosted a dazzling white tie diplomatic reception at Windsor Castle for members of the Diplomatic Corps.

This marks the first time in 24 years that the diplomatic reception has been held in Windsor, with Buckingham Palace confirming the last occasion was in 2001. Princess Catherine last graced the annual gathering in 2023, just months prior to her cancer diagnosis.

Both Charles and William donned the traditional Windsor Coat, recognisable by its distinctive red collar and cuffs.
