Defence ministers have raised “concerns” about China ’s proposed new mega-embassy in London .
Luke Pollard, minister for defence readiness and industry, said the Government was taking more time to make a decision on the planning application for the super-embassy in Tower Hamlets given the “complexities of the national security implications”.
The Conservatives are urging the Government to block the development as MI5 warned MPs, peers, Government officials, parliamentary staff, economists, think tank employees, and other people with links to Westminster that they may be targeted in a huge spying operation by China.
