ASHEVILLE - The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts phone lines are down statewide, requiring a major adjustment for Nov. 19, Buncombe County announced in a Nov. 18 news release.
"Administrative Office of the Courts phone lines are currently down state-wide," Buncombe County said in a news release sent on behalf of the Buncombe County Clerk of Courts Jean-Marie Christy. No jurors should report to the Buncombe County Courthouse on Nov. 19, the released continued.
Buncombe County spokesperson Lillian Govus told the Citizen Times she did not know why phone lines were down as of 5:09 p.m. on Nov. 18.
