A new study has revealed that one in three UK drivers has used parental financial support for their car running costs in the last year.
On average, this financial support comes to £411 a year from parents to help cover motoring expenses.
Leeds tops the list for average annual parental help (£487.47), though Birmingham is close behind with an average of £465.48.

London made it to third place with an average of £420.13.
This research comes from Autotrader , which also found 63% receive between £100 and £499.
One in five motorists receives between £500 and £999, while a small proportion (2%) receives more than £1,000 a year.
Gen Z drivers understandably receive the most support. T
