The Aadhaar Data Vault is designed to store your Aadhaar number securely in its digitized form in such a manner that it is not misused or disclosed. Instead, the actual 12-digit number should ideally be stored in an encrypted central vault and not across different systems. In this way, sensitive information would be protected against explicit disclosure or unauthorized use.
