President Donald Trump is hosting Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Washington, marking the prince's first visit to the White House since the 2018 killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

On Tuesday, Trump addressed questions about Khashoggi's death, stating, "Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen." He dismissed U.S. intelligence findings that suggested the crown prince likely had some culpability in the killing.

During the visit, the two leaders announced military and investment agreements. Trump formalized his decision to sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia .

Additionally, the prince informed Trump that Saudi Arabia would increase its financial commitments to the U.S. from $600 billion to $1 trillion.
