WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A man convicted for what many call the most brutal murder in Green Bay history is back in custody, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

65-year-old Randolph Whiting is being held at the Waupaca County Jail at the request of the Division of Community Corrections.

His probation and parole agent is investigating a possible violation of his rules of supervision.

Whiting was paroled in early 2020, after being convicted of the murder of Margaret Anderson in December 1983.

She was tortured, beaten, and killed.

Police said there were four different crime scenes in Green Bay, including what was known as the Back 40 Bar. Police found her body in a manure pit across from a packing plant.
