BRANCH COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - Deputies from the Branch County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol recovered more than 240 grams of crystal methamphetamine during a traffic stop early Wednesday.
Shortly after midnight, deputies initiated a stop on U.S. 12 near Bawden Road in Bronson Township.
During the encounter, deputies became suspicious of possible drug activity and called for a K9 unit from the Coldwater Police Department.
When the K9 arrived, it did an open-air sniff around the vehicle and alerted deputies to the presence of drugs.
Deputies then searched the vehicle and found more than 240 grams of crystal meth, along with a large amount of heroin.
Both were packaged in a way that suggested they were meant for distribution.
The driver, a 39-year-old woman from Indiana, was arrested wit
