Rookie safety John Saunders Jr. signed to the Patriots’ practice squad Wednesday.
The Ole Miss product, who was originally signed off the Dolphins’ practice squad last month, was waived Monday. Saunders cleared waivers on Tuesday and returned a day later.

The Patriots waived Saunders to make room for tight end CJ Dippre, who signed to the 53-man roster on Monday. The Patriots also juggled their roster after Thursday night’s win over the Jets by placing defensive tackle Milton Williams on injured reserve and signing rookie outside linebacker Bradyn Swinson off of the practice squad.
Saunders was active Thursday night but didn’t play any snaps. The Patriots still have Jaylinn Hawkins, Craig Woodson, Dell Pettus and Brenden Schooler at safety on their 53-man roster. They
