The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating two crashes in the San Fernando Valley where one person was killed early Wednesday.

One of the crashes happened at the intersection of Saticoy and Kester in Van Nuys at 12:45 a.m. where two cars collided.

One person was transported in an unknown condition and the other was pronounced dead in the car.

No details were immediately available on the victim’s identity.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Prior to this fatal crash, police say the same gray Scion was involved in another crash on Riverside and Woodman Avenue about 10 minutes before.

This crash also involved two cars. The gray Scion left the scene and was last seen on Woodman at Magnolia.
