Young drivers are set to be used to help the Labour Party government meet electric car targets - as over 55s refuse to give up petrol and diesel models. Older drivers are refusing to budge ahead of a new ban on petrol and diesel from the Labour Party government.

Motorists over 55 have said they will stick with their traditional, combustible engines - despite new sales of the cars being BANNED. No new petrol or diesel cars will be sold after 2030. All new cars and vans will need to be 100% zero emission by 2035.

The need to transition away from a reliance on fossil fuels has never been clearer, and the transition to zero emission vehicles will play a critical role in quickly reducing carbon emissions and improving our energy security, Labour says.
