Mike Weger, Weyburn Bengough MLA and Legislative Secretary for the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, joined the Weyburn Police Service for a ride-along last week.

Weger has been participating in ride-alongs for various police organizations across the province, and Deputy Chief Shane St. John says WPS members appreciate his hands-on approach.

“The members really enjoyed having him. It's really appreciated to see him having a hands-on approach to policing and learning everything that police do. It's excellent to see. We’ve never had any of our past MLAs come for ride-alongs in Weyburn.”
