FARGO — There were no visible canes, walkers or medical aides to help RaJa Nelson walk around outside the North Dakota State football locker room this week. Heading into his school record 74th career game, the senior wide receiver looks to be doing just fine.

It’s just an amazing number of games for a college player.

Nelson will break Braylon Henderson’s record of 73 games this Saturday when the Bison host the University of St. Thomas at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome. On top of that, if NDSU makes a deep run in the FCS playoffs, Nelson could finish his career closer to 80 games than 70.

To put that in perspective, veteran Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has played in 87 career games.
