Louisville men's basketball head coach Pat Kelsey and a number of other big names in the city want residents to contribute to the annual Turkey Stock donation drive at Brownie's "The Shed" Grille in Plainview Village Nov. 19.
The drive, which accepts frozen turkeys, canned goods, gift cards and cash ahead of the Thanksgiving weekend, is open from 12-8 p.m. Nov. 19 at 9900 Linn Station Road. The 2025 event is particularly significant because it is the first without longtime Brownie's owner Jason Brown, who died unexpectedly in September at the age of 38.
Proceeds for the drive go to the nonprofit Kentucky Harvest , which works with local partners to prevent food waste and serve communities in need. Organizers want to raise at least $75,000 and collect at least 5,000 turkeys for 2025.
