A man has been charged in connection with a horrific knife attack which killed a mum-of-four and injured her husband.
The man, in his 20s, is accused of attacking Stella and Brian Gallagher in Cork, Ireland. Stella died at the scene of the attack, while her husband Brian remains in hospital. Police confirmed today that a man arrested at the scene has been charged in connection with the incident, and he is now due to appear before Cork City District Court this afternoon.
The victims are parents to daughter, Ciara, and their three sons David, Conor and Matthew. An investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing, and a full forensic examination of the property has been carried out.
