CHARLESTON, W.Va. – It’s a chance to help those in need with the return of the WVRC Media Turkey Drop, a partnership with Union Mission to provide turkeys for families this holiday season.
The event is the brainchild of 96.1 KWS’s Robb Reel, who said it’s all about making sure everyone can celebrate properly.
“I genuinely believe every family, no matter the circumstances, no matter what’s been going on politically, where you stand, this side or the other, feel some kind of way about what’s going on, everybody deserves to have a happy holiday meal, and that’s all we’re trying to do is feed folks,” he said.
The Turkey Drop begins at 7 am on Thursday and runs until 6 pm. Donations of frozen turkeys, as well as cash, checks, and credit card payments, are accepted to go toward Union Mission’
