MISSOULA — Could the biggest Brawl of them all be just the appetizer before an even more super-sized main course between the rivals in the playoffs?
Montana head football coach Bobby Hauck certainly thinks so. He made that point twice during his weekly Monday press conference ahead of the 124th Brawl of the Wild at noon Saturday inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
The Grizzlies enter the game ranked No. 2 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll with an 11-0 overall record and a 7-0 mark in the Big Sky Conference. Montana State is No. 3 at 9-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
The winner will capture the league championship and an automatic bid to the playoffs, where they'll almost assuredly be a top-two seed. The loser will get an at-large bid and would still be in line to receive a first
