LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNOE) - The Arkansas State Police have issued an inmate escape alert on behalf of the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

ASP say inmate Wayne Schutz was found missing from his work release assignment, Prospect Steel at the Port of Little Rock on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Officials say Schutz is suspected to have possibly fled in a 2015 White Dodge pickup, license plate number 1DYXN.

He was being housed at the Benton Work Release Unit, serving an eight-year sentence for breaking and entering out of Faulkner County.

Anyone with information about inmate Schutz’s whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.
