INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man charged after allegedly threatening to kill immigrants in social media posts has signed a plea agreement.
Preston Pickett signed a plea agreement to plead guilty to intimidation: threat to commit terrorism.
Pickett allegedly made multiple threats in posts on TikTok to kill immigrants on President Trump's Jan. 20, 2025, inauguration day.
Pickett agreed to a two-year executed sentence under the terms of the plea. How and where that will be served will be determined by the judge at his sentencing Nov. 25.
Under the terms of the agreement, guns and ammunition seized from Pickett must be destroyed.
According to court documents, the threats began Jan. 12 around 9:45 p.m., and the last threat was posted Jan. 14 shortly before 6:30 a.m.
