CARROLL COUNTY — Carroll County deputies recovered a stolen tractor valued at $60,000 after a multi-county search that ultimately led investigators to private property near Yazoo County, authorities said.

Deputies launched the investigation after the tractor was reported stolen in Carroll County. According to the sheriff’s office, investigators used information from informants in recent drug arrests, drones and extensive searches across several counties to track down the equipment. The tractor was found behind a locked gate, and the person who purchased it for $20,000 may now face charges.
