PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced the newly established Advisory Task Force, which will hold their first meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 25, in Pierre.
According to Jackley, this task force is different than the South Dakota Open Meetings Commission. Instead, this 15-member committee will discuss legislative amendments to the current Open Meeting Laws in the state.
“Government, funded by the taxpayers, should be transparent,” said Attorney General Jackley. “I have formed this task force made up of the news media, private organizations, and local government officials to improve our State’s Open Meetings Laws and to increase government transparency within our State.”
The following are the new members of Jackley’s task force.
