JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Former Jackson State quarterback Shedeur Sanders is slated to start his first NFL game in his career.
On Wednesday, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that Sanders will be starting under center against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Sanders was selected by the Browns in the fifth round, 144th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft , and started the season as the third-string quarterback.
The former Tiger made his NFL debut against the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday after the then-starter Dillon Gabriel went out of the game under concussion protocol.
During his JSU career, Sanders led Jackson State to two SWAC East Division titles and two SWAC Championship wins.
