GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers kick off another week unsure of who their kicker will be come Sunday.
But hey, at least head coach Matt LaFleur dropped an Ace Ventura: Pet Detective reference while discussing the current state of affairs with the kicking game.
Just to recap the twists and turns over the past seven weeks:
• Veteran kicker Brandon McManus, who was nearly perfect last season after joining the team in October, sustained a right quadriceps injury in practice on Oct. 8. While LaFleur called the injury a “major concern,” McManus insisted he’d be able to kick through it, as he’d done earlier in his career with the Denver Broncos.
• LaFleur turned out to be right. The Packers signed Lucas Havrisik after a tryout and Havrisik handled the kicking duties in an Oct. 12 win ov
