GROVE CITY, Ohio (WBNS) - A 5-year-old Ohio boy is being credited for bravely stopping a suspected car thief. The suspect is accused of attacking the boy’s mother and taking her keys outside of a food bank.
Chasity Worrick and her children were at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective in Grove City last Tuesday. Without food stamps, she was simply worried about getting food for her kids when all of a sudden, she was punched in the face.
“Some guy on the random come up and end up hitting me in my jaw, knocking me down, grabbing my keys, running,” Worrick said.
Grove City Police identified the man as 20-year-old Shaliq Bing. He, another 20-year-old and three teenagers were allegedly riding around in a car stolen from Union County. They are also accused of stealing from Dick’s Sporting Goods.
