Tributes have been paid to a West Country hiker who was killed in a “freak severe snowstorm” in Chilean Patagonia.
“Much-loved” Victoria Bond was hiking with friends in Argentina and Chile when the storm hit, her colleagues said.
The holidaymaker from Cornwall was among five people found dead on Tuesday in Torres del Paine National Park, in southern Chile, CornwallLive reports.
Ms Bond, a public relations consultant, was described by colleagues as someone who was “always full of charisma” and had an “amazing passion for life”.
A spokesperson for Visit Isles of Scilly, where Ms Bond worked, said the organisation was “deeply saddened”.
