RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. — An elderly woman was transported to Richland Hospital following a crash near a Culver's Wednesday morning, the Richland County Sheriff's Office reported.

The county's dispatch center received multiple 911 calls about a two-vehicle crash with one person possibly injured at around 10:34 a.m. in Richland Center.

Investigation determined that an 83-year-old Lone Rock woman tried to cross U.S. Highway 14 to head to Goodwill when a 78-year-old Cazenovia man allegedly crashed into her vehicle. The man had been traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 14 when the incident occurred.

His vehicle left the road and came to rest in front of Goodwill, while the woman's vehicle sustained heavy damage and remained in the road.

According to officials, two lanes of traffic were closed
