After having surgery for appendicitis a little under two weeks ago, there was a question about whether second-year Arizona Cardinals playmaker Marvin Harrison Jr. would be able to return to the field this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home.

The Cardinals have quickly put that question to bed for arguably their most important young, foundational player.

On Wednesday, Arizona officially ruled out Harrison for Sunday's matchup against Jacksonville. That means he will miss at least his second consecutive game. There is still no clear timetable on when Harrison will actually return, which is something the Cardinals made clear about his surgery from the outset. In a lost season, they're also not exactly in a rush to push the 23-year-old onto the field.

Harrison had 34 catches for 525 yards and four touchdowns before being sidelined. We'll see how the Cardinals try to replace his production for another week.
