KTRE 9 News in Lufkin is reporting that a Zavalla woman died and two other women were injured in a wreck on Highway 69 south of Lufkin on Tuesday morning.

Helen Daniel, 83, died in a Lufkin hospital while Donna Price, 55, of Zavalla and Christina Mikeska, 42, of Lufkin were injured.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Price was driving a 2024 Kia Sportage and leaving a driveway when she pulled out in front of and was hit by a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Mikeska.
