OSAGE, Minn. — Authorities are investigating a drive-by shooting on Monday, Nov. 17 at the family farm of Winona LaDuke , an Ojibwe author, environmentalist and economist on the White Earth Reservation.
According to a news release from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a report of gunshots at approximately 6:09 p.m. at a residence near the intersection of State Highway 34 and County Highway 391/460th Avenue, about one mile west of Snellman in Shell Lake Township. No injuries were reported.
LaDuke was not at the home at the time, but said in a phone interview on Tuesday, Nov. 19, that three teenage boys were inside.
“I’m very angry and shaken that people do that kind of stuff… they could have killed somebody,” LaDuke said.
