BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Chorale’s first concerts under the baton of new conductor Isaac Lovdahl will feature songs of healing and holidays. It’s titled “The New Day Concert.”
The 66-member Chorale will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2508 Washington Ave. SE.
Lovdahl, director of choral activities at Bemidji State University, took on the Chorale role earlier this year. In preparing for his first concerts, he wanted to get feedback from both singers and audience members.
“Being the new guy in town, I wanted to hear the considerations and requests of people from the community and people who have been in the Chorale in years past about what they might desire,” Lovdahl said.
The first half of the program will include song
