A man is behind bars following a high-speed chase with a revoked license in Cherokee County, North Carolina.
Deputies arrested Joshua Nuttall on November 14 after the pursuit on US-64.
They said Nuttall tried to flee once he approached a traffic checking station by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Murphy Police Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Nuttall drove off at high speeds and made several U-turns, creating a danger to the public, according to deputies.
He crashed his car and ran on foot into the woods near an urgent care facility.
Authorities used drones to find Nuttall in the woods and then arrested him. They also found a gun at the scene.
Nuttall now faces these charges:
Felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle
Felony possession of a firearm by
