RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will temporarily close the flyover bridge and ramps from I-126 Westbound onto I-26 Eastbound, as well as the ramp from Colonial Life Boulevard onto I-26 Eastbound, for nighttime road maintenance beginning November 23.

According to SCDOT, the closures will occur nightly starting November 23 at 8 p.m. and will reopen each morning at 6 a.m. Work is scheduled to wrap up by November 26 at 6 a.m.

Lane closure and detour signs will be posted along I-126 Westbound and I-26 Westbound to alert drivers to the detour route and temporary traffic pattern.

SCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and stay alert while traveling through the work zone.
