CHAPEL HILL — It’s been 11 months since Bill Belichick ’s introductory press conference as the UNC football coach.

During his initial appearance as the leader of the Tar Heels , Belichick took a moment to mention his father, Steve, and the family ties to Chapel Hill.

“One story I always heard was, Billy's first words were, ‘Beat Duke ,' ” Belichick said with a smile during his first press conference.
