A major incident has broken out at a school in Germany today after 20 children were injured after class.
The incident at Raderthal School in Cologne has seen nine of those children rushed to hospital. Police and other emergency service crews raced to the school after pepper spray was deployed, sparking a "mass casualty incident" alert.
Crews were initially called to treat one person but that was quickly upgraded when they were encountered several pupils suffering. Reports suggest that most of the children were suffering from severe eye irritation.
