Arraignment was held Wednesday for a 41-year-old Waterford Township man accused of fatally shooting a Pontiac man last weekend.

Anthony Louis Ward is charged with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and two counts of felony firearm in connection with the Nov. 15 death of Deevon Cornea Brown, 36. Ward is held in the Oakland County Jail, denied bond.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened shortly after 6 a.m. last Saturday in the 200 block of Osmun Street. Brown was transported to a local hospital and subsequently pronounced dead.
