Philadelphia, long considered a dining destination city by locals and Delaware residents, is no longer overlooked by the Michelin guide.

At a Northeast Cities ceremony Nov. 18 at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, three restaurants in the city earned one-star ratings: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Her Place Supper Club ; and Provenance .

A one-star rating from the guidebook, considered one of the most prestigious culinary sources, means the restaurant is considered "a very good restaurant in its category.'
